Current position
Texas remains a state of the United States. No independence referendum has been held or authorized by the legislature. The Texas Nationalist Movement continues active campaigning, and TNM-authored planks were adopted into the Republican Party of Texas platform at its 2024 and 2026 state conventions.[1]
