No separate Afrikaner Volkstaat has been established. Orania continues to function as a self-governing Afrikaner settlement of approximately 3,000 people within South Africa, and the Freedom Front Plus remains a minor but represented national political party, winning 6 of 400 National Assembly seats in the 2024 election.[1]
