The UN's own page on the 1948 displacement, used for the commonly cited approximate figure of 700,000 Palestinians displaced, itself drawn from UN and scholarly estimates ranging from approximately 520,000 to 1,000,000, with general consensus the true figure exceeded 600,000 and likely 700,000.
