Primary text, the ICC's own official statement, read in full. On 21 November 2024, ICC Pre-Trial Chamber I unanimously issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on charges including the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare and crimes against humanity of murder, persecution and other inhumane acts, and separately for Hamas military commander Mohammed Deif on charges including crimes against humanity of murder and torture and war crimes including hostage-taking; these are arrest warrants based on the Chamber's finding of reasonable grounds, not convictions, and neither Netanyahu, Gallant nor Deif has been tried.
