Current position
Armed Tripuri nationalist insurgency ended with the September 2024 peace accord between the government and the NLFT/ATTF. Political demands for greater Tripuri self-government continue through the IPFT and TIPRA parties, which advocate for a separate "Tipraland" or expanded "Greater Tipraland" state, following TIPRA's April 2024 election victory in the TTAADC.[1][2]
