Admission of Montenegro to the United Nations, 2006
Following the Security Council's recommendation, the General Assembly admitted the Republic of Montenegro as the 192nd member of the United Nations.
What happened
The Security Council, having examined Montenegro's application for UN membership (S/2006/409), recommended on 22 June 2006 that the General Assembly admit the Republic of Montenegro.[1] The General Assembly did so at its 91st plenary meeting on 28 June 2006.[2]
