Iraq’s federal Supreme Court ruled the 2017 referendum unconstitutional and cancelled its results.
What happened
The court ruled the referendum unconstitutional and cancelled its results.[1] The Kurdistan Regional Government affirmed its respect for the ruling while saying that annulling the results was beyond its powers.[2]
