Admission of Djibouti to the United Nations, 1977
Following the Security Council's recommendation, the General Assembly admitted the Republic of Djibouti as a member of the United Nations.
What happened
The Security Council, having examined Djibouti's application for UN membership, unanimously recommended on 7 July 1977 that the General Assembly admit the Republic of Djibouti.[1] The General Assembly did so at its 1st plenary meeting on 20 September 1977.[2]
