The Algiers Accords, signed 15 May and 20 June 2015, provided for local autonomy and fighter reintegration into a reconstituted army.[1]

Claim: Following a 2014 ceasefire, the Algiers Accords (formally the Accord for Peace and Reconciliation in Mali) were signed on 15 May and 20 June 2015 in Bamako, between the Malian government and the Coordination of Azawad Movements (CMA), providing for greater local autonomy and the reintegration of former fighters into a reconstituted national army; the Malian government terminated the agreement on 25 January 2024, amid renewed open conflict with Azawad movements following the withdrawal of the UN peacekeeping mission MINUSMA and the deployment of Wagner Group forces alongside Malian troops.
